VCfGL's Mina Patel and TES Chief Education Adviser Jim Knight shared the stage at last year's TEDxMidAtlantic 2015, an event celebrating the power of ideas to positively change the world. Their talk, 'Rise of the Global Teacher', explained how HD quality video conferencing technology is connecting classrooms around the world, giving students opportunities to 'learn about anything, from anyone, from anywhere'.
Mina described how
through VCfGL's groundbreaking project in Uruguay in partnership with the British Council (UY ), over 1,000 primary school
children receive weekly English lessons, live and direct from language teachers in
London-based VCfGL classrooms, as part of the Ceibal en Ingles project. Jim spoke about his vision for the
future of education and the possibilities for the 'next generation
