Megaconference Junior 2012

On May 3rd, the Megaconference Jnr showcased an "around the world" international video conference for schools in the UK where VJ teams ( groups of schools) worked together to present via Janet  Videoconferencing to help them connect to other schools world wide.
This was a great opportunity for the UK pupils to communicate with each other on a common topic. The Megaconference Junior, now in its 9th year, used streaming technology as well as an online chat area for participants to observe and comment as the presentations occurred in real time.  Click here to find out more about the event and its organisers.

The following schools from the UK took part:

Burghill School in Hereford presented on 'Wonders'. Clyst St. Mary Primary School, Exeter gave a wonderful presentation about Exeter where the pupils dressed up and preformed a drama of the past and present .  St Columbas Primary School, Annan in Scotland played music and sang to everyone showcasing their local area Annan. Pupils from Parklands Junior School, in the London Borough of Havering,  pictured below, talked about life in Romford and Havering, while their parents watched the live stream from home and from the school foyer.

Well done to all the UK schools for taking part.
