MB Learning – Live Showcase week

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the MB Learning taster day you may not have been able to secure the right time and subject for your school . As a result we would like to extend the invitation to all secondary schools and colleges registered on JVCS with VC hardware. You now have the opportunity to take part in the MB Learning - Live Showcase Week via Video conference from Monday 25^th June – Friday 29^th June.. Students and teachers can meet the tutors and experience what it would be like to do a distance learning course via Video conference. Each 45 minute tutorial will consist of:

Introduction to MB Learning :Tutor/10 minutes

Subject specific Tutorial : Tutor/ 30 minutes
Q&A : All / 5 minutes

Schools will need to have VC hardware registered on JVCS. Schools will be expected to make a short 10 minute test call the week before to test their connection. There are limited places so please email :events@vcfl.net with the following information before June 22nd 2012:

1. School/ College name
2. School address
3. JVCS venue name/ E164 no.
4. Teacher / SMT member name and email.
5. Technician name / email and contact telephone number
6. Which subjects you wish to interact with. Choose from list here:

7. Date and time you prefer your 45 minute tutorial.

Please note:
The Latin and Mandarin courses are at GCSE level and can be ideal for years 9 – 11. These courses are particularly attractive to gifted and talented years 9 – 11. These courses are also useful as enrichment courses to years 12 and 13 as they offer additional UCAS points. All the other courses are A level subjects except Criminology which is an NVQ level 3 course.

Schools who register for a session above will be contacted after the event by MB Learning Solutions for feedback on the tutorial. Schools can then go ahead and book a course to start 2012/13 if they wish to.
